the lazar method
We never guess. We measure.
You've seen everyone, and the tests came back normal. The Lazar Method is what happens next. Your nervous system is measured under the supervision of Dr. Jonathan Lazar, D.C., who shows you what he finds on your own scans and only then recommends anything.
Lazar Upper Cervical Chiropractic is an upper cervical practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Nothing here asks you to believe us. You get measured, and then you decide.
Below is how it works, in order, including when we will tell you we are not the right fit, and what it costs.

five steps, in this order
How upper cervical care works here
Nothing is described that has not been measured, and nothing is recommended before it has been made clear to you.
- Measure
Before anything is recommended, your nervous system is measured. Three scans look at how your body regulates temperature along the spine, how much reserve your nervous system has, and how much energy your posture is costing you. PostureIQ™ measures your posture, and digital X-rays show the alignment of your upper neck.
- Identify
Dr. Lazar personally interprets every scan and every image. The question is where your nervous system is under strain, and whether your upper neck is part of it. The first bone in your neck carries your head and surrounds the brainstem, where the nervous system regulates heart rate, digestion, sleep, balance, and blood flow. Most tests look for disease. This looks for dysfunction.
- Clarify
You are given a 16-page Report of Findings and shown your own scans, in plain words. It explains what was found, why it matters, and how it can be corrected. This is also where you learn whether care is recommended. If it is, you see the full plan and its cost in writing before you decide anything.
- Correct
If the scans show something we can help, the correction is a precise upper cervical correction, gentle and specific, planned from your own imaging. No cracking, no twisting. Your first correction is followed by a call from your doctor that evening.
- Restore
Care is frequent at first, because that is when the correction is most likely to hold. Visits taper as your scans stabilize. Scheduled re-scans show whether it is changing, on paper, so you never have to take our word for it.

What actually happens, in order
Our role isn't to convince you of anything. It's to help you understand what's actually going on, and then decide what makes sense for you. You never leave a step without knowing what comes next.
The visits happen in our office at 203 S. Zeeb Rd, Suite 106, Ann Arbor, MI 48103.
Patients drive from across Michigan because nothing closer worked. If you are far away, say so on your free 15-minute Clarity Call, a phone call with our team and no commitment, and we will plan around it.
- 1Complimentary consultation with PostureIQ™.
A $251 value, complimentary for new patients. You are heard, and PostureIQ™ measures your posture. If it makes sense to go further, the next step is the Neurological Assessment.
- 2Neurological Assessment, $605.
Two visits. Three scans and digital X-rays, all interpreted by Dr. Lazar.
- 3Report of Findings.
Sixteen pages, in plain words, with your own scans in front of you, delivered at your second assessment visit. If the scans don't show something we can help, this is where we tell you.
- 4Corrective care, with scheduled re-scans.
If care is recommended, you see the full plan and its cost in writing before you decide. Care is frequent at first and tapers as your scans stabilize. Re-scans show whether it is changing.
- 5A plan to hold what you've gained.
After corrective care, a plan to hold what you've gained, for as long as you want to keep it. Care here is a relationship, not a visit.
we qualify openly
Sometimes the honest answer is no
Lazar Upper Cervical isn't for everyone. What we do works really well in certain situations, not all. That's why we measure first.
If the scans don't show something we can help, we'll tell you, and we won't take you as a patient.
Your scans are decision support, not a diagnosis. They show where your nervous system is under strain, and whether we can help.
It's a fit if:
- You've been told your tests are "normal," but you know something is wrong
- You've tried multiple doctors, specialists, or chiropractors and you're still suffering
- You want answers backed by objective measurement, not guesses
- You're ready to invest in a structured plan to get your life back
It's probably not a fit if:
- You're looking for a shortcut or a one-time visit
- You'd rather manage your own care than follow a measured plan
- You're not ready to make your health a priority right now
the patient promise
What we commit to, every time
Most of our patients come to us after years of confusion. Our commitment is to give you clarity, help you make sense of your story, and walk with you toward real answers.
- We will bring you clarity. You will understand what is happening in your body and why.
- We will make sense of your story. Your symptoms and history were not random. Everything connects.
- We will give you a real plan. You never leave without direction.
- We will walk with you. We guide the journey and measure the progress.
We commit to the process, not the outcome. Every patient leaves their Report of Findings with clarity, meaning, and hope.
"The testing and x-ray results were insightful, and left me with a clear understanding of my current condition."
